we are

We are Taylor and Daniel Stein and together with our two children are the people behind Briceland Forest Farm. We are a small multi-generation market farm and homestead in the hills of Southern Humboldt County. We Live and farm with the goal of not only sustaining but improving and restoring the land we live and grow on through our practices.

We grow veggies for our community farmers market and local restaurants and grow cannabis for the California recreational market through our cooperative brand FarmCut.

Free Choice CSA

What is a CSA?

CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture, and is a partnership with the farm. Members invest in the farm with the farmers, helping to cover the high upfront costs of seed, fertility and labor that it takes to start the season. Investing in the farm’s viability for the season gives members discounted access to the harvest throughout the growing season.

How our Free Choice CSA works

Members receive an 8-10% discount on all farm produce, plant starts, and value added products when they pay for the share up front. There are possible add ons of flowers and bread.

Three sizes of shares are available to best suit your needs.

The share size represents the value of farm credit purchased. The credit is purchased at a discounted rate and is available to use throughout the 2026 growing season.

There are no prepackaged boxes or dealing with produce you don’t want. There is no obligation to shop every week. You can freely shop from our farm stand every Thursday in Briceland from 1-6pm. Produce is available on a first come first serve basis.

You will be provided with a farm card and each purchase is deducted automatically from your farm account at purchase.

After each transaction, the receipt will automatically be emailed to you, displaying your updated share balance. Please be sure to use your yearly purchased credit within that season. We do not offer refunds at the end of the season or carry any remaining balance over to the next year.
